The Tally So Far

Shredded wheat, orange juice, chicken burrito, coffee, 2 pickled eggs, 4 olives and a nice beef stew that's bubbling away now. The stew has a small bit of steak chopped up in ham stock, with tomatoes, potatoes, cannellini beans, celery, red jalapeno peppers, garlic and onions (with a dash of red wine, soy sauce, salt, pepper, ground ginger, cumin and a little basil).

I had that stew with some naan bread and it was lovely. The peppers gave it a wonderful kick.

Souper Day

I had some stock from a ham hock I boiled on Saturday, so today was soup day. Celery, carrots, parsnip, potatoes, some garlic, onion, butter beans, soup mix (barley etc.), dried herbs (parsley, basil, thyme, etc.), pepper and salt all went in. Then I thought, hang on, I have some Parma ham, so in went some slivers of that. Should be good.
